SUMPANG BITA

Sumpang Bita is one of interesting place in Pangkep regency, that located in Sumpang Bita village, Balocci subdistrict. Sumpang Bita is also one of natural karst hills that themed ‘prehistoric park. The main attraction in this place is an ancient cave at the top of the hill, which was about 500 years old.

To reach this cave, we have to pass a thousand steps, called ‘thousand stairs’ but don’t worry, if you feel tired you can get a rest in

the eleven gazebo. Astronomically, this cave is located in height of 280 meters above sea level.

The cave contains 81 hand paintings, 12 pig picture, one buffalo (anoa) picture, and a boat picture. But, the tools that they use to draw is still mystery.

There are some problem that you’ll get if you wanna go there like, you heve to get permission from the local government, and the cave just open for research and study. But don’t worry, there are many sites that you can enjoy, like a round pool with sulfur water, the scenery there, rock climbing and others.

Most of the visitor of this place are the teenagers from the university. But for the younger, it doesn’t matter, cause many sites of this place use as a recreation media, like a round pool with sulfur water, the scenery, rock climbing and others…

You have to know, you have to pay a little to enter this place. For children, it’s about Rp.1500,- and for the adult, it’s about Rp.2000,- it’s not expensive isn’t it?.
